Mid-term review of the Samoa Cocoa Industry Development Initiative (SCIDI)

Dr Ingvar Anda was contracted to FCG NZ as TEAM Leader on the mid-term review of the Samoa Cocoa Industry Development Initiative (SCIDI), funded by New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT). The Activity is intended to be industry-led, driven by the identified needs of the cocoa industry stakeholders in Samoa and will provide opportunities to enable growth of the private sector from growers to cocoa supply chains. The Activity involves working closely with stakeholders in Samoa’s cocoa industry which includes cocoa growers, processors, nursery owners and managers, cocoa buyers, marketers, regulators and non-governmental organisations, businesses and government agencies; with the aim of assisting in the development of the Samoa cocoa industry, with a particular focus on improving the opportunities to increasing cocoa exports.
